Teeline Shorthand For Beginners :
Course Content
The course consists of three stages which should be completed in quick succession to avoid ‘learning gaps’.
Stage 1: Simple introduction to Teeline; Parts 1 and 2 of a 4 part programme; training to reach 40-50 wpm with a reasonable vocabulary; two test papers.
Stage 2: Completes the theory of Teeline; Part 3 of the programme; training to reach 50-60 wpm; one test paper.
Stage 3: Speed building and vocabulary extension; Part 4 of the programme; training to reach 60-70 wpm, the RSA standard; one test paper.
Teeline Refresher Course :
Designed for: Individuals who have trained previously on the Teeline system, and through a career break or a lack of use at work, feel their skills on this popular shorthand system need some revision.
Course Content
Revision of the entire Teeline system in a concentrated manner
Vocabulary extension and speed development.
Pitman 2000 Refresher Course :
Designed for: Individuals who have trained previously on the Pitman 2000 system, and through a career break or a lack of use at work, feel their skills on this popular shorthand system need some revision.
Course Content
Revision of the entire Pitman 2000 system in a concentrated manner.
Vocabulary extension and speed development.

Shorthand Speed Development :
Designed for: Individuals who use any shorthand system and who wish to improve their speed.
Course Content
Use of dictation material between 30 to 140 wpm, with varied content eg. Literary, parliamentary and company reports, commercial, general interest etc.
Some theory and practice work outside the time spent at the centre.
Audio Transcription Level 1:
Course Content
Lesson 1: Effectively operate the audio transcriber, transcribe sentences, the use of the comma, and transcribe paragraphs, which include initial capitals.
Lesson 2: Transcribe sentences displayed in double line spacing, transcribe a short report with the heading in capitals, and transcribe a business memo and a report displayed in double line spacing.
Lesson 3: Transcribe commonly mis-spelt words; transcribe two business letters and a business memo.
Lesson 4: Transcribe sentences containing similar sounding words (homophones), transcribe a report and change line spacing as instructed, and transcribe a business letter with enclosure.
Lesson 5: Transcribe a short report containing commonly mis-spelt words at increased speeds, transcribe a longer report and change to single line spacing as instructed, transcribe a memo containing measurements.
Lesson 6: Transcribe a memo with emphasised text. Transcribe two business letters.
